This human is really cool. Watch the video and see for yourself!

Can you imagine how cool it would be if you lived in Greenwich Village in the late 1960s and were one of the people hanging out in The Back Room, standing next to Patti Smith and David Bowie, watching Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground rock out?

I can.

And that’s how cool I picture it being for people hanging out at MozFest in 2013, huddled together in the designated area for Digital Badge Credential Nerds. But I can only imagine.

But I can only imagine. You know who knows exactly how cool it is but acts like it’s no big deal? Laimonas R. knows, because he was there.

You know who knows exactly how cool it is but acts like it’s no big deal? Laimonas R. knows, because he was there. Laimonas Ragauskas has been talking Recognition, Access, Equity, and Opportunity for over a decade, and he and his colleagues have been a part of some really forward-thinking, future-ready efforts to help us tell better stories about who we are as learners and achievers.

In recent years, a lot of that work has been in the space of digital badge credentials. In this video interview, Laimonas previews some (truly, just a tidbit…there’s so much more!) of what he and his collaborators will share at The Badge Summit on June 25–26, 2020.

Highlights include his sharing of the journey on how they got to where they are, a brief overview of the citiesoflearning.eu platform, and some light opining about What to badge and how concerned we should be right now with quality control.

Register to join Laimonas and dozens of other leaders sharing their stories at the 2020 Badge Summit on the official site: www.thebadgesummit.com. Registration prior to June 1st is just $36 for access to all of the sessions on both days of the virtual conference. And if you have awesome work (or epic fails!) to share at Badge Summit, submit your session on the proposal page.
