The big new announcement is that The Badge Summit is transitioning from a wandering event to putting down roots in a permanent new home on the campus of the University of Colorado Boulder!

The Return of What Works

As we continue to innovate and evolve, we are keen to also value what works. Organizers are evaluating proposals of traditional presentations, panels and workshops based on meeting the diverse learning needs of Badge Summit attendees. We’re excited to try out the Badgesplaining format for the first time in-person, as well as bring back popular content including:

Pre-Conference Webinar

On July 25th, we will be offering a free pre-conference session for all registered attendees (including virtual attendees!).

The Dream Makers’ Lounge

The Dream Makers’ Lounge is a design space staffed by facilitators with Badge implementation experience. The purpose of this space is to provide attendees who are dreaming about Badges with an opportunity to actually sit down with these skilled facilitators and accomplish design work to make those dreams happen by beginning to build a Badge System for their own schools and districts. This year, the proposal form includes the opportunity for attendees to propose a “How might we ___?” question for a Dream Makers’ Lounge session.

Ask Me Anything | Table Talk Sessions

The Badge Summit brand of poster sessions is back by popular demand. Some will have traditional poster sessions, others will have a sign encouraging others to “Ask me about ______.” Some have compared it to structured networking that allows insiders to connect and everyone to learn.

Food

Badge Summit registration includes an opening evening reception on August 1, snacks, breakfast and lunch on August 2. We strive to accommodate for food allergies and specific dietary needs. The registration form provides space to let us know about your needs.

The location

On campus at the University of Colorado Boulder, we will be learning and sharing inside some of the best spaces Badge Summit has known, while enjoying stunning outdoor views.

Cost

Early bird registration is $245 ($290 after June 30). Registration also includes access to the virtual-only gathering on August 9. For attendees who are only able to participate on August 9, the online event registration is $100.
